Celebrating Morgan and Brandon: From Renters to First-Time Homebuyers and First-Time Parents in the Same Month!
Some journeys are just meant to be celebrated — and Morgan and Brandon's story is one for the books!
When they reached out to us about six months ago, they were expecting their first baby and renting a small apartment they knew they'd quickly outgrow. They had already tried connecting with another agent and lender but just weren’t making any headway. With a little one on the way, time was of the essence, and we knew we needed a solid plan.
The first step was securing pre-approval. We connected them with Meghan Merrill and her amazing team at CMG, and within just a few days, they had their pre-approval in hand! From there, we sat down to map out a plan — talking through their must-haves, nice-to-haves, and strategy for navigating a competitive market.
Given the parameters of a VA loan and the high demand for multifamily homes, we knew we might face some challenges. But Morgan and Brandon were flexible about location, which gave us more options to work with. Brandon, being a plumber, wasn’t afraid of a little work — and good thing, because we definitely saw some fixer-uppers! Home after home, apartment building after apartment building, they stayed patient and determined.
Finally, one day, Brandon stopped by an open house for a two-family home in Manchester. As he walked out, he gave me a call — and I could hear it in his voice: he had found the one. We wasted no time, submitting a strong offer. Just 24 hours later, we got the call — it was theirs!
But the hard work wasn’t over yet.
The VA inspection revealed a substantial list of repairs: electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting — you name it. After some negotiation, we were able to come to an agreement: the seller would handle a few items, and Brandon, in true hardworking spirit, would tackle the rest before closing.

Evenings after work, weekends — Brandon was there, putting in the work. Each time the appraiser came back with more items to address, Brandon took it in stride, staying focused on the goal.
Finally, just hours before closing, we got the call we'd been waiting for: CLEAR TO CLOSE!
And just like that, Morgan, Brandon, and their beautiful baby girl, Sunny, became proud homeowners. They secured a beautiful multi-family home where they’ll not only build memories but also generate income to help cover their mortgage — a smart move for their family’s future.
Their story is a powerful reminder that hard work, persistence, and a little bit of faith can move mountains.
